Jack
After reading a recent post on T-man's blog, it reminded MaMa of Jack, a JRT she used to foster.
Jack was a very handsome JRT. He came into MaMa's life in early 2003. MaMa fostered him while looking for a loving home to take him in. Months went by & no one seemed to pass MaMa's "test". MaMa decided to let Jack "own" her & they enjoyed the most incredible time together. PaPa formed a close bond with Jack too. They went for walks first thing in the morning & long walks during the weekends.
Unfortunately, Jack's lymph node at the neck started to swell up.
At the time of this picture, both PaPa & MaMa didn't notice the swell. They didn't know much about pets / animals, except to just love them.
Jack had a fantastic nature. He was so tolerant of JuJu as a kitten growing up. JuJu would bug him for snuggles & play, sometime even scratching him out of "playfulness" & yet Jack showed much patience. They played & rest together.
As his condition got worse, he fought on. He went to the park, put on a strong front like any terriers would.
MaMa told me when she got me that I get double the love 'cos Jack left some behind for me.
Awwwhhh, poor Jack! At least he had a loving home with your Mama & Papa while he was there.

Aw that's sad, but it sounds like Jack had a really wonderful life (and he was really cute!)

I am licking Mama's face.
After T-Man's blog and now yours, she is just releasing a lot of salty things on her face.

I have just put Sassy (my little terrier mutt) to sleep on Monday. She was suffering from progressive brain tumor.
It was the hardest decision that I have made to date. I was so torn between the well being of the dog and the selfish desire to keep her with me for as long as possible.
Everyone tried to console me by saying that she had a good life for 14 yrs but..........
The only thought that makes me feel happy is that that she is well and happy again at the rainbow bridge.
Jack had your mum's love before he went to doggie heaven.

o, i shall burst into tears now. i was just reading t-man's blog about jake, and now i get to know about dear jack here. it's a very sad day indeed. so many of us have loved and lost. i hope jack is happy at rainbow bridge; i am sure he peers down often to blow your mommy and daddy little kisses and to watch over you and kaylie.
loves,

It's sad that he was poorly, but he was lucky to have been so happy with your mum & dad for the last stage of his life. I'm sure he was very happy.

thank you for sharing.. twas really bittersweet. i hope jack is enjoying himself now... :]
btw.. sorry if this sounds ignorant but does the swelling only occur at the area below the throat?
That Jack was such a cutie! I love how he snuggled with your Juju. It looks like he knew real love and security in your home, which is what he probably wanted more than anything. You did the best you could for him, and now he's waiting for you at the bridge.

Thats so sad. But we are sure that Jack is very happy at the Rainbow Bridge.
