Demodectic Mange
Hello peeps, it is me Kaylie. I asked Jaffe to let me have a little "air time".
See, on Monday 30th Apr, MaMa brought me to the vet 'cos my skin was getting red & it is not recovering well...
A couple of months ago, MaMa thought I had food allergy & that was why I had spots on my body. After seeing Dr Kasey & getting some skin scrap done, he confirmed I have this scawy sounding bug on me - Demodectic Mange.
Dr Kasay said that it is due to some weak immune system. I need more yummy supplement to boost my immunity but MaMa don't know which one will be directly beneficial for me in this situation. If any of you peeps know anything, please help MaMa out so I can be strong again!
Anyway, after taking some pills & getting some lotion on my wound, MaMa brought us out on our walkies. In the evening, Aunty Y suggested bringing all of us to the West Coast Dog Run for a swell time. It was all wet & muddy. We did have a swell time but it was Aunty Y & MaMa's nightmare. Check us out...
So, there you have it. I may have some bugs on me, I am still up for a "muddy" good time... licks licks...
Aw Kaylie, that looks sore. Hope someone can help with advice about supplements.

Oh that looks awful! You almost have the same problem as my sista Chloe. But she got it just beside her butt. What she's eating now is LAMADERM. Believe me! That's the best dog food brand that will improve your fur & your skin allergies. She's been on it for one week plus now & her terrible shedding has stopped & her fur's growing back nicely. It's soft, stronger & nicer looking! No bullshit! (Excuse my language) Really, you should try it out. It's only Lamb Meal & Brown Rice. Absolutely no corn, yeast, animal by-products, chicken, sugar & other things we doggies can't take. The other thing you can try is supplements too but Chloe's been taking them since the day she was adopted but neh, not working! Only the food LAMADERM's working. Hope in Singapore, they do sell Lamaderm. Coz it's still new in Malaysia...
Love licks,

Hey Kaylie,
Mum said your demodectic mange looks like it's localized, which is GREAT news!!!! It should get better once your immune system gets a boost, and I know it will!
Love nibbles,

Have you tried homeopathic remedies?
Best,

Oh dear poor thing!
May be Mummy can look into adding organic flaxseed oil to your diet. Good for skin, fur and immune system.
You can get the oil from Animal Recovery Centre or from your vet if he stocks it.
G.
I hope you recover quickly.
Get well soon !
Hi Kaylie, sorry to hear about your skin condition. Sounds like u have the same problem as Huskee. We noticed that Huskee started sprouting out 'pimples' all over his body and they r usually red & sore. It will dry up by itself and the skin will become flaky. The vet said it was due to Huskee's weak immune system and prescribed a supplement by the name of 'Immunix' for him, which contains powerful antioxidants. She also gave Huskee a course of Chloramine (anti-histamines) to contain the itch. We also got a medicated shampoo Sebazole which has anti fungal properties to clear his skin. The vet told us to take out all chicken and beef from his diet so Huskee's on a 'fish only' diet. Hope this information helps u & hope u get well soon!
We really hope your mom will find something good for you. Sorry that we are of no help.
Love

My dear Jaffe,
Could the mange come about because of the less than clean water in the river?
I never let Chelsea into the river. Chelsea (touch wood) has never had any skin problem thus far.
So... the dirty water must be the culprit?
Aunty Choo
Currently, mu muzzle is very itchy. And my mum said that i keep licking my paws. Therefore, we are visiting the vet this wed hopeful we are able to find out the causes once and for all.
