Looking back / Looking forward

The last Saturday of 2006. Boy, am I feeling old. MaMa was flipping through the picture album & she is particularly fond of our puppy ones.

Here's one of my personal favourite (Me & one of my "litter-mates")...

Kaylie was quite a cute little thing too when she was about 2.5 weeks & 4 weeks old...

Kaylie & her "litter-mates"...

How time flies. She is now 5 months old. She's recovering well from her sterilsation & all her milk teeth have dropped.

MaMa has this crazy thing about keeping our milk teeth. She got very lucky with Kaylie's. She managed to keep almost half the set of Kaylie's & only 4 of mine. She said I ate most of mine... hehehe...

I hope 2007 will be a terrierfic year for all creatures big & small. May all wishes come true. Have a fantastic time; my friends.

New to You Tube

Papa offered to help post a video for all my adoring and adorable fans. He thinks Mama will enjoy watching us play with our Christmas gifts to the sounds of Santa is coming to town.

Kaylie and I think Papa hasn't told Mama about this post yet, but then again, it's our site! And you are our fans! Plus we're a bit jealous of Miss Sunshade's sophictication, and Buthy's & Snicker's talent.

So here goes.... you might say, corny on the cam...

Stares, Stitches & Sterilisations

Yesterday Kaylie went under the knife. She was sent to Mt Pleasant & was left in the good hands of Dr Kasey Tan. Dr Kasey did all the sterilisations in our animal kingdom EXCEPT ME. To cut the long story short, my sterilisation didn't turn out as well as the rest of my siblings. It almost seems like a "retribution" for going against "the norm". MaMa was upset & she blamed herself for my predicament.

Anyway, back to Kaylie's sterilisation. Let's take a look at her stitches...
Very neat indeed. Just hope she doesn't tear it while playing rough. She can be quite a tom boy you know.

So of course, she had to wear the most exotic E collar...

We all think it looked ridiculous and so we took it off while MaMa & PaPa went for a quick bite to eat. When they got home, there were stares of daggers from MaMa. She had asked "Who DID it?"... Like we were gonna own up to it. Of 'cos we gave her the "I dono?!" look...

Tooth fairy

The vet said puppy's teeth can start changing from 4 months onwards. So when will Kaylie start changing her teeth? 4 months? 5 months? May be 6 months? No no no no no... it started when she was merely 3.5 months!!! Did I say she's a monster?

She will only be 5 months in 6 day's time & her 2 "milk fangs" dropped off last Sunday, 17th Dec. This is a shot just a couple of hours before it happened...

MaMa is afraid she may come on heat earlier than normal so she's decided to sterilise her this coming Sat. Yes, 23rd Dec, a couple of days before Xmas. How cruel is that?! But of 'cos it is so that we can all be at home to take care of her. See what sacrifices we make for her?!

Anyway, MaMa went to her ortho again on Tue. She now has her lower braces on too. It is causing her some pain & it is not easy to chew her food properly. She is all metal now, poor MaMa...

The final show down...

Like I mentioned in the prevous post that MaMa had put up all the Xmas Cards received, here's a picture of them...
Note: the miserable few cards on the extreme right belong to MaMa & PaPa.

A few of the cards at the corners are not in the picture 'cos it won't fit into the lens. My sincere appologies to Herbie & Buster cos yours are the first couple on the extreme left. Also a couple of cards on the right.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone of you for the beautiful cards. MaMa's laptop is out for almost 2 weeks now so I didn't get a chance to visit each blogsite to post a "parson-al" thank you. Also, for some reason, I can't seem to post comments on some of the blogs?!

oh, and BTW, Kaylie is 9 days to 5 months & she weighs a whoop'g 5.1kg. Gosh, isn't she a fat monster?!

Wet Wet Wet

BearBear's Pa planned to give us a ride to Sentosa this morning but it started to rain as we were about to set off. I was upset, infact, we were all upset.

Since we couldn't go anywhere, MaMa decided that it was time for her to "put up" all the Christmas cards that we've received. The tally so far is 48 (ours) vs 5. Pathetic. I think both MaMa & PaPa are not very socialised, which is good for us 'cos that means they won't be away from home too much.

Anyway, while I was lazing around, I thought about the fabulous time we had at the beach last week. Not a care in the world, just "floating"...

Then the tide started to come in. The waves were so strong, we tried to keep our cool & started heading to shore but the look in our face gave us away. We were so scared, we almost wet ourselves...

My "thought" didn't end that well. I better drift off to snooze land for now till I find something else to ponder.

Xmas Tag

The Rules: The player of this game starts with "3 things he/ she would love to get for Christmas" and also has to list "3 things he/ she definitely does not want to get for Christmas". Then he/she tags 5 friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. And the one who tags need to leave a comment that says "you've been Christmas tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

What Kaylie & I want this Christmas:
1. Treats & Meat at least 3 times a day.
2. Sunny weather from 4pm - 9pm everyday so the park is dry for us to roam for hours & hours
3. MaMa & PaPa to love us loads & loads

What we really don't want:
1. Ridiculous looking outfits, or rather, any outfits
2. The use of "No" & "Bad girl/boy"
3. Shower time.

So... I now will tag Joey, Herbie, Scuba, BearBear & FuFu...

I'm experiencing trouble leaving comments on blogs; so I hope the 5 doggies I tagged will read my blog soon.

The first "plunge"

PaPa had requested that I put this in writting, so here we go. The picture on the card was taken by him. The layout was done by him. The color scheme was chosen by him. The printing, trimming... all by him. The only thing the rest of us did was to look pretty (that will be us) & slapping on some glitters (that will be MaMa).

side note: Happy now, PaPa?! geez...

Alright, back to business. Thank you all for the compliments. I'm glad you enjoyed the card. Infact I'm surprised it has reached Ms Sunshade, all the way in Canada no less.

I have not been online much 'cos MaMa's laptop is "kaput". She said to fix it I'll have to sacrifice 10 weeks worth of lamb ribs. Haylooooo... ???? And so, I decided to wait my turn for PaPa's desktop.

Last Saturday, MaMa took Kaylie & me to the beach. Aunty Y & Uncle E were kind enough to drive us there. Thank you Aunty Y & Uncle E. It was Kaylie's first trip to the beach. She was ecstatic. She ran around the beach exploring until it was crunch time. MaMa & I went into the water leaving her pacing along the shore. She was petrified when MaMa carried her & placed her gently into the water. She couldn't swim back to shore fast enough...

MaMa tried her one & only trick, that was to pretend drowning. She started calling out to Kaylie... "Kaylie, save me, save me." Kaylie, being the "good girl" she is, was a little apprehensive at first... hmmm... is someone gonna come with me?

In the end, she still decided to take the plunge & go rescue MaMa...

Final Countdown

It has been a frenzy at home... 50 hours of preparation; 40 hours of disagreement (humans are wierd); 30 hours of final touch-up; 20 cards received so far; 10 different designs and finally, "the card" is produced.

Since the weekend, MaMa has been busy putting the last bit of "arts&crafts" on the cards. She is very "ana*" about how it's done so she will not let anyone touch them. That's why we only managed to mail out about 30 cards so far (randomly chosen).

This is her "work desk" after tidying up...
